Alissa Schultz

Hi! My name is Alissa. 

I grew up in Oshkosh, Wisconsin with my older sister and our family’s Yorkie, Archie. 

After becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician through Madison Area Technical College in 2020, I worked at Madison Veterinary Specialist and gained experience in Oncology, ER, and finally ended up in the surgery department. I started working part-time at Four Lakes recently, after deciding I wanted to experience primary care work and be able to form lifelong bonds with clients and their pets. I have also worked with large animals, (cows and goats mostly,) and been able to work with a local shelter to offer affordable spays and neuters. 

When I’m not working, I enjoy doing a variety of exercises, reading, playing video games, and, of course, destressing with my critters. I currently live with my long-term boyfriend, our two cats (Niko and Beau), a Betta fish named Edmond, and two rats (Edgar and Propofol). 

This fall I will be returning to school to gradually gain a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership and will maybe one day become an instructor for the new generation of vet techs!
