Annie

Hello! My name is Annie and I am a Receptionist here at Four Lakes. 

Animals have always been a passion of mine, but never a career direction. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin: Madison, amidst the pandemic, with a degree in Social Work. Post-graduation, I had intentions to start a job in Child Welfare, but starting a “social” career, when being social was highly discouraged, didn’t seem like my best course of action at the time. With this in mind, I decided to explore some short-term work with animals until I felt comfortable starting my career. I started working for a local doggy daycare and began to see a shift in my career ambitions. Long story short, here I am! 

While I am not explicitly using my degree, I do feel that many of the skills I learned are very applicable when navigating veterinary options with pet parents. I have a growing collection of animal friends in my home. I have four cats - two young calicos named Lollipop and Zucchini, a young Maine Coon mix named Tuna, and an older lady named Pepper. Additionally, I have a goofy black pug named Odin. It is definitely a crazy house with the 5 of them but it keeps life fun! I have aspirations of converting my large fenced-in yard to an escape proof safe-haven for outdoor and feral kitties.
