I grew up in small town Milton, WI with two brothers and more pets than I can count on my fingers and toes. I attended UW-LaCrosse for one year of undergrad, where I was thinking I would become a medical doctor. I found that LaCrosse was very far away from my family and did not enjoy my time there, so I transferred to UW-Madison (much closer to home!) where I explored majors, such as nutritional sciences and zoology. I eventually landed in animal sciences and went on to earn my Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences in 2016.
I began my career in the veterinary world in 2014 when I started working at Four Lakes as an assistant. My original plan was to attend veterinary school to become a veterinarian, but after working many years as an assistant (and enjoying every second of it!), I have decided to pursue a career as a veterinary technician. I am currently enrolled in on-line classes at Penn Foster. After graduating with a veterinary technician degree, I plan to become certified. My favorite part of my job is creating bonds with all of our adorable patients and their humans.
I currently live in Brooklyn, WI with my husband, Paul. We have two handsome cats, Remi and Gary, and two dogs: Laila, a husky mix, and Odin, a German Shepherd. When I'm not at the clinic, you can find me searching local rescues' pages for adoptable chihuahuas, watching Badger football, attending concerts (I love live music!), flossing, spending time with my family, crafting, or snuggling my pets while watching a good tv show (Dateline, This is Us, The Good Doctor, Ellen, The Bachelor, etc).
