I grew up in the upper peninsula of Michigan with three sisters and two brothers. We lived on a small farm with a horse, pigs, chickens, ducks, cats and dogs. Ever since I can remember I knew working with animals was something that I wanted to do. I studied zoology at Northern Michigan University. My husband and I moved to Portland, Oregon for his job. After we had our first son I realized that I really wanted to be a mom and going to veterinary school was not something I wanted anymore so I went to Portland Community College to become a Veterinary Technician and graduated in 2017.
I have worked in general practice, physical therapy and surgery. Being a part of the veterinary community and being able to help animals is something I am proud of and feel lucky to be able to do everyday.
My family and I recently moved to Madison to be closer to our family in Michigan. I live with my husband and two sons. We have a mastiff mix Mabel and two guinea pigs: Leonard and Sheldon. I love to do things outside with my kids camping, hiking, spending time at the beach and at my parent's farm. We also love football in our house. If I get a second to myself I love to read and crochet and do puzzles.
