Four Lakes Vet Clinic is a place where your voice and your work make an impact.
As the first, of only three, Fear-Free clinics in Wisconsin, as well as being a Certified Cat-Friendly practice and AAHA accredited, we are leading the industry in providing care we can be proud of. Each person on our team accumulates 9 hours of Fear-Free CE before being able to handle animals on their own. There are always biscuits, peanut butter, cheese, whipped cream, or some form of food within reach at each appointment, as well as a commitment to changing the veterinary experience, lowering stress for all involved. Fear-free extends to our pet owners, too, in the way of hospitality, getting to know them as more than "Fluffy's mom or dad," and assuring them that their pet is getting the best care they can.
We do 2-3 fundraisers every year to give back to organizations we love! We have done dog washes, silent auctions, food drives, and random artist fundraisers (we are always surprised how talented our team is!) We have raised funds and colllected items for Sheltering Animals of Abuse Victims, The Goodman Center Basket Drive, Vest-a-Dog of Wisconsin, WisCares, and more.
We are small enough that we have time to care about each other. There isn't a corporation dictating our time and efforts. We celebrate birthdays and go on outings. We often eat lunch together and develop friendships beyond the clinic. We meet each month and work through ideas. We celebrate our successes and come up with strategies to make our clinic the best it can be.
We have been voted Best of Madison in two different polls, Best of Monona, and Neighborhood Favorite. Our clients are bonded to our practice and love to engage with us through Facebook and email. Every year we have a pet photo contest and get hundreds of entries! Check out all our wonderful reviews on Google!
Wisconsin is the place to be! We have waterparks, lakes, Summerfest, camping, snow activities, hiking (The Ice Age Trail is very cool!), and the most gorgeous autumn leaves.
Madison has theaters, breweries, museums, wineries, great schools, amazing food, more varieties of cheese than you can imagine, parks for people and dogs, biking, fishing, farmer's markets, a free zoo, neighborhood festivals, parades, and celebrations for everything under the sun, community gardens, three colleges, concerts on the state Capital lawn, at Overture Performing Arts, and many other locations.
Want to live within walking distance of all these things? You can!
Want to live in a quiet community and drive a short distance to experience the city? You can do that too!
Madison is big enough to support a busy economy but small enough that you can escape without much effort.
What do you love to do when you aren't working with brilliant, kind, and welcoming coworkers? Some of us run, hike, do yoga, camp, explore the local food scene, frequent dog parks, hunt for rocks, go to concerts, travel, obsess over our pets and kids, garden, play instruments, craft, drink fancy (and not so fancy) beer, create art, read, sew, and so much more.
Do we sound like your kind of people?
If so, please send a cover letter and resume to Dr. Scarlett at LoriScarlettDVM@gmail.com

We want you to succeed and enjoy being a vet! As part of our mentoring program, for your first 3 months, you will have hour-long appointments that give you time to talk with clients, finish records, work up cases, and discuss with the other vets. You will get as much help in surgeries as you desire. Another experienced vet will always be available for consultations and advice. No weekend clinic hours, apart from answering the occasional urgent client e-mail. We almost always get some time for lunch and finish up by 6:30p at the latest.
