Got a “domesticated” Bengal Tiger that you keep in your backyard? What about a chimpanzee that hasn’t (yet) ripped off all of your fingers and toes, one-by-one? A poison dart frog who hasn’t gotten the chance to poison anyone recently? Bring her in!

All three of these are endangered species, but we won’t tattle on you if you bring them here for care. . .

Four Lakes Vet is expanding (again!) Starting June 1st, we are going to be seeing exotic pets! So bring us your lizards, tarantulas, snakes and parrots- yes, they all need regular vet care, too! We don’t remember much of what we all learned in school about these species, but hey, how hard can it be? We’re pretty smart.

APRIL FOOLS!!!!

While it IS true that all domestic pets need regular vet care, Four Lakes isn’t the place to take them and we absolutely do not condone private ownership of endangered species or wild animals. If you have an appropriate pet like a Cockatoo or a bearded dragon, we recommend the UW Vet School or Spartan Animal Hospital.

If you find a wild animal that needs attention, please look at the Dane County Humane Society website for details on what to do next!
