Unlike human hospitals, not all animal hospitals are required to be accredited; it is completely voluntary. Only about 12-15% of animal hospitals have gone through the accreditation evaluation process by the American Animal Hospital Association.
Dr. Scarlett has been practicing since 1995. Dr. McClanahan graduated in 2018 and brings fresh ideas. Our certified veterinary nurses have many years of experience between them.
We believe visits to the vet shouldn't be stressful or scary for you or your pet. We are trained in techniques to help keep your pet calm during exams, treatments, and surgeries. We are the first and only Fear-Free Certified Hospital in Wisconsin!

"We appreciate being able to email for appointment requests and questions. The in-room check-out is very nice! All the employees at Four Lakes are so kind and loving to Jackson!"
"I was immediately comfortable there, it felt warm and inviting. I loved that the exam room had a mat for my cat to lay on. Everyone was friendly and delightful. I felt important to everybody there."
"We wouldn't want any thing more in a Dr./staff or service. If you relocated your office we would follow. Charlie is not stressed going to the"vet", that is magic for everyone."
"Sometimes it takes me a little bit to understand medical care and the vet and the technician were patient and helped explain thing clearly and thoroughly."
"This practice does everything well! I have never been so happy after leaving an appointment for any of the pets I've had over the years. I loved getting answers to questions BEFORE I asked them. I felt much more knowledgeable about my pets needs when I left."
"We really appreciated the amount of time Dr Scarlett took to figure out the cause of our dog's skin issues and explain to us what was going on. Our previous vet just tried to treat the symptoms and didn't explain or dig into whatever may be causing it. We also appreciate the staff's willingness to get down to our dogs level to work on him, where our previous vet expected us to pick him up and put him on the table every time (the dog is 100lbs and doesn't like to be picked up)."
